3 Ingredient Shower Melts

3 Ingredient Shower Melts

DIY Shower Melts (3 ingredients)

Ingredients:
• 2 cups bicarb soda
• 3-4 tbsp water
• 20–30 drops essential oil (lavender, peppermint, or mix them — your pick)

If using stronger oils, like Deep Blue - you may want to dial back on the amount used.

How to make:

  • Mix the bicarb soda with the water slowly until it forms a thick paste (not runny).
  • Add your essential oil and stir it through.
  • Compress the mixture into silicone moulds (silicone ice cube trays work too).
  • Let them dry overnight, then pop out and store in an airtight container.

The trays I use, I love because they are hard plastic which keeps the mix firm, but there is a silicone pop out on the bottom. I purchased mine from Woolworths, but you can get them from Amazon HERE.

To use:
Place one on the floor of the shower, away from direct water. It’ll fizz and release the scent as you shower.

I have tried variations of these, with fresh rosemary and other herbs for something different. They have worked out well but need to be thoroughly dried first.

Gifting Friends? Put them in a glass jar with a nice label on the front. We've got some pretty jar decals HERE.
