Sprinkle-Dipped Wafer Sticks

Sprinkle-Dipped Wafer Sticks

Sprinkle-Dipped Wafer Sticks

(the 2-minute party treat that looks way fancier than it is)

This is one of those “why didn’t I think of this sooner” recipes.
Cheap wafers, colourful icing, a chaotic amount of sprinkles… and suddenly you’ve got a birthday-table hero for basically loose change.

Perfect for kids’ parties, bake sales, or those moments when you need something cute fast.

What you need

  • Wafer biscuits (the 99c kind from Aldi = elite budgeting)

  • Ready-made icing or melted frosting – any colour you like

  • Sprinkles – also any colour, the more chaotic the better

That’s it. Three ingredients. No baking. No stress.

How to make them

1. Prep your dipping station

Pour sprinkles into a shallow bowl.
If your icing is thick, microwave it for 10–15 seconds so it’s smooth enough to dip.

2. Dip the wafers

Hold each wafer and dip one end into the icing.
You only need to coat about ⅓ of the stick for the cute look.

3. Add the sprinkle magic

Straight after dipping, roll the iced end in sprinkles so they stick nicely.
Place on baking paper to set.

4. Let them firm up

Leave at room temperature for 15–20 minutes, or pop in the fridge for a quick set.

Done.
That’s the whole recipe.
We love an overachieving minimal-effort snack.

Easy ways to make them extra cute

  • Match party colours – pink for Barbie, blue for space, rainbow for chaos

  • Add mini lollies before the icing sets

  • Drizzle white chocolate over the top for “I tried” energy

  • Stick into a jar or foam block to make a DIY dessert display
