How To Apply Our Decals
How to Apply Vinyl Cut Decals
Applying vinyl decals is fairly easy, but getting that perfect, smooth look takes a little technique! Follow these steps for the best results.
- Prepare the Surface: Clean and dry your surface thoroughly. Alcohol wipes work great for removing oils and dust.
- Burnish the Transfer Tape to the vinyl graphic by rubbing over it with hard pressure (using a squeegee is best). This will ensure any air bubbles created during transit will be smoothed out before peeling tape off.
- Peel Off the Transfer Tape: Slowly peel off the transfer tape at a 45-degree angle, leaving the decal on the surface. If any part doesn’t lift, press it back down and try again. More intricate decals sometimes need a little help, by bending the sheet a little more, as you peel.
-
Apply and Smooth: Starting from one side, press down the decal slowly, smoothing out air bubbles as you go. Use a squeegee to press firmly over the decal.

Vinyl Transfer Decals vs. Stickers
Vinyl Transfer Decals:
- Material: Made from high-quality vinyl, making them durable and weather-resistant.
- Application: Applied in parts or layers using transfer tape; they blend seamlessly with the surface.
- Finish: No visible backing; only the design itself stays on the surface.
Stickers:
- Material: Typically made from paper or lower-grade vinyl.
- Application: Comes with its own backing, which stays intact around the design.
- Finish: Often has a white or colored border and is less durable for outdoor use.
Vinyl transfer decals are perfect for a sleek, professional look and longer-lasting results!
